Big Walnut Middle School Students Learn the Good Behind the Giving

Marion Goodwill was proud to once again participate in the Big Walnut Middle School Annual Service Day, welcoming students for a unique, hands-on learning experience centered around community service and the power of giving back.

During their visit, students got an inside look at our donation cycle—from dropping off an item, to processing donations, to placing them on the sales floor. Along the way, they learned how each step contributes to our mission of Building Lives That Work and the vital role Goodwill plays in the local community.

The experience offered more than just practical knowledge—it connected students to the real-world impact of their efforts, showing how even one donated item can support job training, employment programs, and other mission services right here in central Ohio.

We’re incredibly grateful to the students and staff of Big Walnut Middle School for spending the day with us and supporting our mission through their service.

Good Happens Here—and it starts with experiences like these.
