Their ongoing Blind Date with a Book event puts a fun spin on book shopping. Each book is wrapped to hide its cover, leaving only a few clues about the story inside. Instead of choosing by author or title, readers pick based on instinct — and a little curiosity.
The event takes place every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the bookstore, located at 15709 U.S. Route 36 East.
The goal is to encourage people to explore genres they might not normally choose and rediscover the excitement of not knowing what comes next.
After finishing their pick, readers can share their thoughts by completing a “Rate Your Date” card and will be entered into a monthly raffle. And if the match isn’t quite right, the book can always be donated back for someone else to enjoy.
