Goodwill serving Union County is excited to announce the relocation and expansion of its Marysville retail presence with two new locations opening soon. The Goodwill Retail Store will be moving to the former Big Lots location, while a brand-new concept—a Goodwill Bookstore and Donation Drive-Thru—will open next door.
The Retail Store will be located in the former Big Lots at [15715 US Rt. 36 East], and the Bookstore and Donation Drive-Thru will be located at 15709 US Rt. 36 East, offering a unique secondhand book-shopping experience and a convenient donation option for the community.

To celebrate, Goodwill is hosting “Goodwill on the Block: A Marysville Community Celebration” on Saturday, August 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature tours of the new retail space, the unveiling of the bookstore, and a festive, carnival-style celebration with games, prizes, food, and giveaways—all just in time for Ohio’s tax-free shopping weekend.
The event is also an opportunity to give back. Guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations for the Hope Center and school supplies for the United Way School Supply Drive.
“We’re thrilled to expand our services in Marysville with a new bookstore and upgraded retail location,” said Michelle Roberts, President & CEO of Marion Goodwill. “This move is about more than retail—it’s about job creation, expansion of community services, and sustainability.
Join Goodwill on August 2nd and be part of the celebration of fun, giving back, and exciting new beginnings.
