Success Story: Adelina’s Journey to Stability and Success
Before connecting with Goodwill through our partnership with the Ohio Department of Health, Adelina Mullins and her family were experiencing homelessness, living in a hotel room and struggling to find stability.
In February 2025, Adelina began working with the ODH program, determined to turn her situation around. Through each step of the program, Goodwill was there to provide guidance and support. By March, with the help of financial assistance from Goodwill, Adelina and her family were able to secure stable housing—a crucial milestone in their journey.
Adelina didn’t stop there. She also found employment at McDonald’s, where she has been working steadily since March, and she is currently furthering her education at Buckeye Community School.
Her dedication and positive attitude have been truly inspiring to everyone who has worked with her. Adelina shared, “When you work the program the way you are supposed to, you can accomplish your goals.”
Today, Adelina feels a renewed sense of security knowing she has both a job and a place to call home. Her story is a powerful reminder of how determination—paired with the right support—can lead to lasting change. GOOD Happens Here.
