Marion Goodwill breaking ground on affordable homes for seniors

Marion Goodwill is investing $775,000 to build six 600-square-foot homes on West Fairground Street for seniors who need affordable housing. Each unit includes a bedroom, kitchen, living room, full bathroom, in-unit laundry — and utilities are included in the rent, which will be set on a sliding scale based on income. Construction starts this summer with completion targeted for the end of 2026.

If successful, Goodwill plans to expand to additional properties they already own in Marion.
