Mariah is a shining example of what happens when determination meets opportunity. As a participant in the Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP) in Marion, Mariah was able to explore her career interests and build a path forward—thanks to support from OhioMeansJobs Marion and Marion Goodwill.
After high school, Mariah wasn’t sure what career path to pursue. Encouraged by her mom, she connected with Goodwill. With the help of her job coach, she explored her options and was introduced to STNA classes offered through JAG Healthcare.
Through the program, Goodwill helped provide work clothing to support her training—and Mariah took it from there. She successfully passed her STNA boards and has already secured a job at JAG Healthcare, starting her career in the healthcare field.
Her long-term dreams don’t stop there—Mariah hopes to attend college to become a Registered Nurse and eventually fulfill her goal of becoming a midwife.
When asked about her experience, Mariah shared: “Goodwill is super helpful with getting a job, helping with school, and truly wanting the best for their participants.”
