Olivia is a powerful testament to what happens when opportunity meets ambition. A participant in the Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP) in Marion, Ohio, Olivia has spent the last three years building a strong foundation for her future—both professionally and academically.
The CCMEP program, funded by OhioMeansJobs Marion and managed by Marion Goodwill, supports low-income young adults (ages 14–24) in overcoming barriers, finding employment, and developing long-term career pathways. Olivia first learned about the program through her Outreach class at Harding High School, and it wasn’t long before she began working at the Marion Goodwill retail store.
Thanks to her dedication and the support of the CCMEP program, Olivia has already achieved major milestones:
✔️ Purchased her own car
✔️ Graduated in the top 15 of her class at Harding High School
✔️ Earned 37.66 college credits and an Associate of Arts degree from Marion Technical College
Next up? Olivia plans to attend Ohio Wesleyan University and continue saving money as she works toward her ultimate goal: becoming her own boss.
When asked about her experience at Goodwill, Olivia shared:
“It’s been a great way to start work experience—or to continue that work experience. The program is a very accommodating way to obtain employment and find new networking opportunities.”
We’re incredibly proud of Olivia’s achievements and can’t wait to see all that she accomplishes in the future.
Good Happens Here.
