Taylor: Shop, Donate, Change a Life

Taylor participated in the CCMEP program, which is funded by Ohio Means Jobs – Marion County. This program pairs youth, ages 14-24, with a Goodwill coach who provides mentorship to help them develop both academic and workplace skills. Based on individual needs and interests, participants gain access to work experience, tutoring, training, and other supportive services.

Taylor was determined to create better opportunities for herself. At the start of the program, she and her coach set goals, including securing a job, saving money for a car, obtaining her driver’s license, and completing high school.

With Goodwill’s support, Taylor secured employment, completed the necessary courses to obtain her driver’s license, and is working tirelessly to graduate high school while juggling two jobs. She has been able to support herself and contribute to her family’s needs. In the future, Taylor aspires to teach reading and writing to elementary school children. She is deeply passionate about helping young students grow and discover a love for learning.

“Goodwill is an amazing resource for anyone looking to improve their life. They can help you find a job you enjoy, and they provide many resources to help you achieve your goals.”
