Youth CCMEP Participants Spread Valentine’s Day Cheer Across Crawford County

Youth participants in Goodwill’s CCMEP program recently took part in Crawford County’s Quarterly Leadership Event, combining leadership development with meaningful community service.

During the event, participants worked together to create Valentine’s Day cards for members of the Crawford County Council on Aging. In total, 320 handmade cards were completed and will be distributed to seniors throughout the county—both during in-house meal services and to individuals receiving Meals on Wheels.

The activity provided youth with an opportunity to practice teamwork, creativity, and compassion while making a positive impact on older adults in the community. For many recipients, these cards serve as a reminder that they are valued and remembered—especially during the winter months.

This event reflects Goodwill’s ongoing commitment to youth development through CCMEP, offering participants hands-on experiences that build leadership skills while strengthening community connections.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible and to our youth participants for demonstrating what it means to lead with heart. Good happens here—one act of kindness at a time.
